I really enjoyed seeing how much brotherly love was in this story. Even though Katurian wrote these horrific stories and Michal killed the children they still had a love for each other that overshadowed the hurt that they received from their parents. The emotional and physical abuse caused the writing of Katurian's sick stories and Michal to act them out but that anger diminished when it came to each other.
